IWIL Chrysalis Award Requirements

Scholarship award designed to assist Sangamon County Women who have been out of high school for 5 years or more and are enrolling in a college, university or trade school or women who are continuing or returning to college who do not yet have an undergraduate degree.

• Be a female resident of Sangamon County
• Have earned a high school diploma or GED at least 5 years ago
• May be a first time college student since earning a high school diploma or equivalent or may be a continuing student that has not yet attained a baccalaureate degree
• Exhibit leadership qualities and strong potential and desire for professional growth
• May not have an immediate relationship to a member of IWIL
• Must be available for a personal interview if selected as a semi-finalist
• Recipients present their submitted essay (500 words or less) at the IWIL awards reception on Thursday, May 16.
